His father, a wildlife photographer, would often take Chad out of school on photo expeditions to exotic places such as Yellowstone National Park to capture animals in their native habitat. Chad often jokes that he gave up the pursuit of wildlife photography because it is extremely difficult to get a grizzly bear to smile at the camera! Chad has explored and is skilled in various artistic media. He has extensively studied visual arts throughout his entire life - from private art lessons to college classes. Chad started college in visual arts and ended up with a computer science degree. His accomplished artistic skills combined with his technical knowledge of the digital world allow him to create behind the camera and keep him on the leading edge of digital photography. Chad is an active member of the Intermountain Professional Photographer Association (IPPA) as well as the Rocky Mountain Professional Photographer Association (RMPPA). He is supported by his wife, Shannon – a.k.a. “Lovely Assistant.” She is often found at his side, directing and posing to add her ‘feminine touch’ and extra eye for detail.
